Another Saturday morning and I ain't got nobody
I have no money cuz I don't get paid
How I wish I had someone to talk to
I'm in an awful way, doo doo doo doo.
Ah, the life of an ultramarathoning widow!

Just wanted everyone to know that I changed my first poopy, cloth diaper yesterday! I know I can handle at least one a day. I went to the Wee Bunz store and bought one FuzziBunz diaper and one Bum Genius. I got one with a special train print on it for Will and he carried it all around with him after I bought it. That boy loves his choo-choos! Thanks for all the feedback on my last post about baby gear. If you have any more advice/info. send it my way!

Yesterday I had the pleasure of getting a pedicure. Do you know what the best part was? The foot massage was wonderful, my toes are a beautiful shade of pink, but time with my friend was what I needed the most out of all of these things. I love the conversations that we have, both meaningful and trivial. They all add up to the blessings that are girlfriends. While we were sitting there getting our toes done she told me about a memory she had of her and her mother giving each other facials. She told me about having her mother's head in her lap and how she could feel the shape of her mother's face even though she is now gone. I thought this was such a wonderful memory. I was thinking about it as I was trying to go to sleep tonight. It made me think of a night that I was at my Grandma Novie's. She asked me to rub cream on her shoulder. It was such a simple act, but yet it was packed with meaning for me. You see, I am simply awful at asking for help or having people do things for me. Grandma showed me how important it is to ask for help (even if I am still learning this lesson). She wasn't burdening me in the slightest. In fact, she was giving me a gift. I loved being able to do something for her. Now I will always have the memory of her soft white skin and the curve of shoulder.

The Latest...
In other news...
Will seems to be saying new words every single day. It's so great to see his little mind working. Just tonight he said, "donkey" while Mike was reading him a story. He's so smart!
The baby is kicking. I think she might be dancing a jig in my belly.
Will went swimming with his friend, Patrick today. I wish I could have taken a picture of them in the water together. Patrick looked like he was really enjoying his time in the pool!
Mike has been fitting in training runs during all hours of the day. He is so dedicated!
I have been busy putting together an Open Mic Poetry Cafe for my reading council.
That's the skinny, folks!

Baby Gear
So, I have been researching cloth diapers a little bit and wanted to get opinions from other people. What do you think about cloth diapers? Have you used them? What are the pros and cons? Will I go crazy with a ton of extra laundry? The brand I am thinking about going with is called FuzziBunz. My friend Shahnaz has used these and recommends them.
It seems funny to me to be so ignorant about using cloth diapers when our mothers and grandmothers used them all of the time. How things change over just one generation, huh?
I also was wondering if anyone had opinions on a baby sling. This may be just a fantasy, but I imagine being able to nurse my baby in a sling while I chase down a toddler this summer/fall. Any recommendations?

Tickled Pink!
Steph, Diantha and I decided to get together so that we could catch up over coffee. I had just taken a sip of my decaf mocha when lo and behold two rose colored vixens walked through the door! What a sight! I was cracking up. Stephanie and Diantha are always up to something! I was speechless. Do I have great girlfriends or what???!!! What a way to celebrate bringing another girl into the world. I hope she likes pedis!
