First Steps

Guess what? Will took his first step today! I knew he was close. It couldn't have been better timing. Mike had just walked in the door from a run and sat down on the couch to visit with us. I put Will down on the floor and he was standing while balancing on my arms. You could tell he wanted to go say hi to his daddy. Mike was reaching out to Will, but I told him to move his arm back just a little bit--to make him work for it, you know! It worked! Will took a step to get to his Dad!!! Woo-hoo!!! Good job, Will!!! It was great that we both got to experience this first together!

The Graduates

My cousins, Mike & Hank graduated high school on the 8th of June. Here is a picture of them with my Grandma Doris, Dad, Mom, Will, and my Aunt Barbara. We are so proud of them!

You can tell by the picture that it was a little past Will's bed time. The graduation didn't start until 8pm. My dad was a good sport and took Will for little walks during the ceremony! Thanks, Dad!

Muy de la Moda

So I am finally getting around to blogging about the fashion show that happened weeks ago. My friend, Marianne put on a fashion show with her design students. Here are the pics. Isn't Steph cute striking a pose on the catwalk? She is the cutest pregnant lady I've ever seen! We had fun getting all dolled up. There was a DJ in the back with fun music and a lighted walkway. As you can see from the pics, there was also a red carpet. We had a lot of fun with that! It was fun watching the models and all of the cute designs they were wearing. It was even more fun hanging out with my girlfriends!

Bumper Stickers

It's been a while since I've written. Now that I've got you hooked on my blog, you must be thirsty for more. I don't have much to say. However, I have been pondering a question posed by a dear friend of mine..."if you had to choose a bumper sticker for you car, what would it say?" I'm taking liberty with the quotes. I'm pretty sure those weren't her exact words. Anyway, I have three possible bumper stickers that I would consider putting on my car. Here they are:

  • Drum machines have no soul
  • Live simply so that others may simply live
  • Maybe the hokey pokey really is what it's all about

Where's the Love?

Hi folks! I want to know where the love is. Why aren't you leaving me any comments? Are you out there? Are you reading my blog?

I thought maybe if I posted a new picture of Will you all might get motivated to leave me a comment! This is my little one with a black bean beard--cute, huh? I just had to snap a picture! Will is working very hard to feed himself. He has a very independent spirit and does not want to be spoon fed anymore. Wonder where he gets that from!
