Emerging from the Baby Time Warp...

That's what I like to call this time, The Baby Time Warp, otherwise known as one long continuous day. Morning and night blend together as I tend to my baby's needs. It's a cycle of waking, feeding, staring at my beautiful new baby and sleeping every 1 to 3 hours. Those hours have now stretched into 3-4 hour intervals and sometimes on a blessed night 6! Woo-hoo! It doesn't happen all of the time, but when it does I feel like a new woman! The third time around has been pretty good to me. I feel like I have been lifted up in prayer and have not had as many ups and downs. It's been nice to feel so consistently happy. I am grateful for all of the visits, cards, meals, and gifts we have been receiving. We are adjusting to life with three kids. It's chaotic and crazy at times, but I expected that. Somehow, expecting the chaos makes it easier to laugh about it all. I also feel a peace about completing our family. Three was written on my little heart. I had been praying to God to give me some clarity about having a third child. I didn't really expect Him to make the decision for me, but I'm very grateful that He did. Audrey is an incredible blessing and I am glad to be experiencing new motherhood one more time--to hold a newborn, smell their sweet baby breath, rock them to sleep. It's a very special, fleeting time.

A lot of people are asking me how Will and Ella are handling the new addition. I think they are doing pretty well. It was tough at first simply because of all the transition. My kids were not on their normal schedules and they have been cooped up a little more than they'd like to be. That said, they do love having Audrey around. Will and Ella are always talking to her and wanting to hold their baby sister. They think she is cute and tiny and tell her so. Of course, I have to summon up plenty of patience working with three kiddoes who are too young to be completely self-sufficient, but I keep reminding myself that it is worth it. Motherhood is not for weenies! :)

Our new computer has arrived and we will probably be hooking it up soon. I will try and catch up with photos later.
