I haven't posted for a while and now I don't know where to start. I think I'll go with bullets and see where it takes me...
*Ella went to the doctor yesterday. She's up to 18 lbs. What a happy, healthy girl. She is pulling herself up to standing and it cracks me up. She looks so tiny standing next to Will at the train table.
*I have ran 6 miles three times now. For me, that is a long distance. The first two times I ran with Mike. He made a great running partner. Thanks to Carolyn and David for watching the kidlets so we could do that. It was almost like a date!
*Speaking of dates, Mike and I actually got to go out to dinner last weekend. It's so nice to have a nice meal and uninterrupted conversation with your husband! We savored our food and time together. I have to thank Carolyn and David again for coming over to watch the kids. You know you have awesome in-laws when they call you up and ask if they can babysit!!! Mike and I are so grateful!
*I'm not much of a morning person, but I can't help but smile when my babies wake up happy. Today Ella was crying and Will started singing, "Don't Worry Be Happy". It was hilarious. Will and I serenaded Ella with gusto.
*A couple of weekends ago the kids and I had the chance to hang out with my parents. It was fun to have some grandparent time with them. We went to the A.C. Gilbert house. My dad had so much fun running around with Will. It was cute to see them together. We all had a great time seeing Will get excited about every little thing. We went to the carousel downtown as well. I took Ella for her first ride and she seemed to like it! This is probably one of Will's favorite places!
*Earlier this week we went to visit my Grandma Novie. I always love going over to her house and talking to my grandma. She is so sweet. I'm in awe of that woman. I can't believe she did this kid thing 8 times! She was telling me about not having a washing machine. Can you imagine? I can't even keep up with my laundry with a washer and dryer. After our visit Will needed some outdoor time. We headed over to my old elementary school playground. Ah, the nostalgia! We've had some great weather around here. It's pretty cold, but it's clear and sunny. It was nice to run around and enjoy it!
*Hmmmm...I wonder how many of you will actually read this, since there are no pictures?! I will get some up soon!

Ella update
Just thought you should know that our little girl is 6 months old. She already has two teeth coming in, can sit up by herself, and is crawling across the room. What a spunky little thing, eh? Guess she wants to grow up fast so she can run around and play with her big brother! Pictures to come soon...

Just Gotta Blog
It's been a while so I'm just going to get on the internet here and ramble away. After I downloaded pictures from Christmas, we had some trouble with our camera. I guess that's why I haven't blogged. I know how much y'all like pictures to go with the posts. We just received a new one in the mail, so be on the look out. I've been busy running and putting on an event for my local reading council. I have to say that being the president of this organization has taught me a lot about myself. Finally, I have learned to delegate!!! This event was a Writing Palooza. We had teachers make 10-15 minute presentations on how they teach writing in their classrooms. The women who presented made me proud to be in the teaching profession. They are simply extraordinary and professional. Many cut backs are being made and districts are not able to send teachers to conferences and receive professional development. The event we put on was free and 47 educators attended--woo hoo!!! One of my friends said that it felt like we were filling a need. I continue to be impressed with our teachers out there who work so incredibly hard and then take time out of their lives (without getting paid) and attend an event such as this so they can do an even better job of educating our children.
