I've always considered my neighbor, Nancy, an honorary grandma since we've had our children. She was the first person on the cul-de-sac to greet us when we moved in as a young married couple and has seen us through many transitions. I remember introducing her to the babies and sitting in her living room conversing about the adjustment to motherhood. She even babysat Will and Ella while I took off to the hospital to have Audrey! Yesterday we invited her over for tea. She came prepared with a Dr. Suess book to read to the kids. How wonderful for them to see a new face during our long, rainy afternoon indoors! Her friendly visit made our day. Thanks, Nancy!
